Mayflex Partner Braves The Cold Front

­Switchnet Systems win major installation

­Mayflex, the cabling infrastructure, networking and physical security solutions distributor, is supplying the entire product requirement for an exciting installation at Britain's soon to be premier indoor snow sports destination. The Snowcentre in Hemel Hempstead will recreate alpine conditions with a huge 160m main slope and 100m lesson slope, both over 30m wide and both maintained with the perfect snow surface.

Switchnet Systems an official cabling partner for the Excel range of products distributed by Mayflex, is responsible for the entire installation and commissioning of related services which begins in December of this year. The Snowcentre will be up and running in February 2009 with access to the general public in April 2009.

The installation encompasses the Excel Category 6 and fibre cabling systems, Excel enclosures and Mobotix IP CCTV surveillance cameras. Other specifications called for an IP TV solution, IP door entry systems and a voice over IP solution.
